Set Of Two Lindy Fralin DynaSonic Hum Cancelling P90 Pickups

The Lindy Fralin Alnico Rod style pickups set features a thick, darker, round bottom end and a rounder less aggressive top end with a clear, fat midrange in between. The Hum Cancelling P90 style still has that undeniable thick single coil tone that you love, only with no hum at all. Single notes have a punchy, thick sonic footprint and have great sustain. Chords break up nickley with a slight compression and great note separation. The output is almost identical to Fralin's stock P90 and they sound extremely similar, just a little thicker in the midrange.

What's the main tonal difference between the Fralin Alnico Rod DynaSonic and the Fralin Hum Cancelling P90 Dynasonic pickups? The Alnico Rod version is more "Strat-like" and clearer sounding. The Hum Cancelling P90 version is slightly louder, darker, thicker and quicker to 'break up'.

The Fralin DynaSonic pickups are direct replacements for the old DeArmond style pickups found in vintage and reissue Gretsch guitars. Two coil design for hum-free performance. Coils wound with 43 gauge single poly nylon insulated pure copper wire. Bridge pickup 16.7K, neck pickup 15.5K. 500K pots are recommended. USA made bonded Neodymium magnets. String spacing is 49.5mm Two conductor leads for wiring versatility. Polished nickel surround rings with white top cover plates. Mounting screws are included.

Mounting rings measure 3.365" X 1.56" X .485" height. Designed as a direct replacement for DeArmond pickups.

The Fralin DynaSonic set sounds best when each pickup is properly shimmed to achieve an optimum height below the strings. How far away from the strings does the pickup need to be? Push your Low E String down at the highest fret. Measure from the top of the pole piece to the bottom of the string. Ideal starting location should be 1/8? on the bass string, and 1/16? on the treble string, when the High E string is pushed down at highest fret.

Fralin Pickups are proudly handmade in Richmond, Virginia. We order Lindy Fralin Pickups as we get orders.  It usually takes about a week to ten days but can be longer when Lindy is busy.
