Ceramic Octal Sockets From China For PC Board Circuits
Octal Socket #80109. White ceramic body, top mount type fits through an approx. 1.125" hole in the chassis, two screw mounting centers 1.5" (slotted mounting holes in the top flange...). Now here's the interesting feature of this socket; instead of solder lugs, there are 1" long 'blades' for PC board solder connections. If you want to experiment with tubes on a PC board, these might be worth trying. This is obviously better for keeping heat away from those fragile boards. The ends of the 'blades' of this socket line up EXACTLY with the pins of most common octal tubes, including EL34, 6L6, KT88, 6SN7, etc. If you've got an amp with a tube soldered directly to a PC board (yes, they do exist...), this is a real lifesaver. The Convertible! The Repairmans Friend! Heavy Duty Top Or Bottom Mount Ceramic Octal Sockets From China!!!
Octal Socket #80112. Thick white ceramic body, plated steel mounting plate is cleverly designed to mount from either the top or bottom of chassis. Plate mates with indexing slots in body of socket and may be mounted with mounting screw holes in line with keyway or at right angles to it. Screw mounting centers approx. 1&1/2". Mounts through a 1" hole in the chassis. When this socket mounting plate is completely screwed down to the chassis there is some slight relief; the mounting plate will be slightly bent and some of the ceramic will be visable. Due to these appearance issues this socket is best used for repair work and not for building new equipment. EACH $2.

Amphenol Used White Ceramic Octal Sockets
Octal Socket 833444. Looks like 80113 sockets described above but white ceramic body. As found on older Marshall and other cool guitar amps. These are used sockets removed from older equipment. All have been checked for tight contacts. You'll need to desolder the remains of resistors, wire, etc. from these. Some have glazed ceramic, some plain finished ceramic. Includes white ceramic socket body with knife contacts, heavy duty slotted hole mounting saddle and wavy washer. Black phenolic body, silver plated phosphor bronze wraparound contacts, single hole in solder lugs, 'molded in' nickel plated metal mounting ring. We found these in an old Fender Service Center; Fender Part Number 028074 was stamped on the ancient bin we pulled these from.
